About Eve Phillips

Eve is a Lamorinda native, former Mayor of Orinda and a successful technology executive.  As a member of the Orinda City Council from 2014-2018, she advocated for increased transparency and citizen input and, in her mayoral year (2017), oversaw the emergency response and repair of the Miner Road sinkhole.  In her professional career, Eve is currently a Director of Product Management at Google on their Care Studio enterprise healthcare software team.  Previously, she led the product team for education & enterprise Chromebooks.

Prior to joining Google, Eve co-founded and served as CEO of Empower Interactive, Inc., a digital behavioral health company focused on expanding access to high quality mental health interventions.  Before Empower, she held product and strategy roles in various software companies including Microsoft and Trilogy, and was a venture capitalist at Greylock Partners.

Eve earned an MBA from Stanford and both Bachelors and Masters degrees in computer science from MIT.  Raised in Moraga, she was a valedictorian of Miramonte High School while captaining its track and cross-country teams.  Her family has resided in Contra Costa County since the 1860's.  Interviews with her grandmother and great-uncle about life in the Alhambra Valley in the early 20th century are available on video thanks to the Martinez Oral History project.

Eve lives in Orinda with her four children; the oldest is currently attending OUSD's Sleepy Hollow Elementary with the rest expected to follow!
