Eve Phillips for Orinda City Council

About Eve Phillips


Eve has served on the Orinda City Council since 2014.  In her professional career, Eve is an experienced technology entrepreneur and investor with expertise in assembling diverse teams to solve hard problems. Eve is currently a Group Product Manager at Google, leading product strategy and execution for Google's Chrome products (browser and Chromebooks) for businesses and schools.


Prior to joining Google, Eve co-founded and served as CEO of Empower Interactive, Inc., a digital health company.  Prior to Empower, she held product and strategy roles in software businesses including Microsoft and Trilogy, and was a venture capitalist at Greylock Partners.


Eve earned an MBA from Stanford and both Bachelors and Masters degrees in computer science from MIT.  Raised in Moraga, she was a valedictorian of Miramonte High School while captaining its track and cross-country teams.  Eve's parents are 50-year Moraga residents and her family has resided in Contra Costa County since the 1860's.  Interviews with her grandmother and great-uncle about life in the Alhambra Valley in the early 20th century are available on video thanks to the Martinez Oral History project.


Eve lives in Orinda with her 2-year-old daughter, Cary.  If re-elected to the Council, Eve will continue to apply her experience to enhancing the quality of life of the citizens of Orinda.
